I don’t know about you guys, but this “stay at home” order has felt like an eternity some days. We’ve especially been itching to do something new as we run out of fund ideas for our kids on the regular. Water gun wars and hockey in front of the house (two of our favorite activities) have actually become… dare I actually say it… BLAND.
So, as I’m sure you’ve done as well, we have turned to the internet to help spark some ideas and get our creative activity juices flowin.
One of the places that I constantly go to in order to find fun activities to do with my kids is HelloDadventures.com. There are tons of blog articles that their team has put together for dads to take learning and fun to the next level. Today, for example, I found an article about fun things to do with baking soda. So, naturally, Eli and I made a baking soda sandwich bag explosion! Boys playing with things that blow up is like peanut butter and jelly…
We also tried putting some slime together following another idea that Dadventures suggested. Although we kinda sorta failed… (pretty much all my fault, but hey… I’m just a finance guy!) we had tons of fun getting messy and playing together.
Another thing that I love about Dadventures is that it also makes a great resource for information about topics such as family mental health, how to create memorable moments with your kids, lists of fun cooking channels to learn from, and ways to lean into being a better dad.
If you’re looking for more resources to find fun activities to do with your kids or just get some parenting advice in general, head on over to Dadventures and sign up to get onto their list so you’re notified as soon as a new article is live!
